YOOBEE @Natcoll Design School has three well established campuses in New Zealand offering diploma level courses in web development, graphic design, animation, interactive design, digital filmmaking and digital media. In addition it offers short and online courses in 16 locations throughout New Zealand and Australia.
We are looking to appoint a National Marketing & Communications Manager based in either Christchurch or Auckland. As part of the senior team this role requires an experienced marketing and communications professional to develop and champion all facets of the YOOBEE education brand. Reporting to the General Manager – Education, this position has two direct reports and functional relationships with senior managers across three campuses in New Zealand. It’s key responsibilities include:
DEVELOPING, IMPLEMENTING AND MANAGING:
a domestic and international strategic marketing plan, including marketing budgets
the brand strategy
marketing communications for all facets of the education business
internal communications and education initiatives
long-term supplier relationships
marketing initiatives for new products and services
product positioning and price strategies
effective distribution strategies
market research and analysis
relationships with relevant stakeholders
off-shore marketing activities with relevant staff
The preferred candidate will have:
A relevant tertiary qualification in marketing and communications
At least 5 years senior management experience with sound knowledge of developing and implementing strategic marketing plans and a brand awareness strategy for both domestic and international markets
Extensive experience in creating marketing collateral and up to the minute knowledge of online marketing initiatives including website development and social media
Prior experience in setting and managing marketing budgets and delivering sales volume, market share and profit projections for the business
The skills to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects
Highly effective communication skills
Proficient keyboard skills and experience with MS Word and Excel
Knowledge of and an understanding of the tertiary education environment in New Zealand would be an advantage
